S’Albufera Nature Park
 S’Albufera Nature Park is the most important wetland of the Balearic Islands and it is protected by two very important international conservation programmes. In 1987 S’Albufera was declared Special Protection Area and Wetlands of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. You can start either in Alcúdia or from any point of Port d’Alcúdia. If you begin in Alcúdia take the road to Artà starting by the church and passing by the sports hall. Follow the road for 4 kilometres until you reach Pont dels Anglesos (bridge). The entrance to the park is located on the bridge to the right. |

Visits to the park are free. Please register yourself at the visitor centre. The centre is located 1 kilometre inside the park. You can reach the centre by car. Here you can get information on the wetlands, interesting elements and visitor regulations. Animals are not allowed inside the park. |
At the visitor centre you will find practical information for visitors and information on the wildlife of the park. At present there are four routes available with several interesting sites. The routes can be covered on foot or by bicycle. Another interesting option is to visit the 4 birdwatching points.  Over 200 species of birds have been listed in the park. You can rent a set of binoculars and read the information about the park. The park guide is available in Catalan, Spanish, German and English.In winter the park opens from 9am to 5pm (1 October-31 March) and in summer from 9am to 7pm (1 April-30 September).
