Bull fighting ring in Alcudia

The bull fighting ring in Alcudia is located in the centre of the old town.
It dates back to approximately 100 years ago when it was first built as a bastion as part of the defense system belonging to the walls of Alcudia.
It used to hold some very famous bull fights, today however there are no real bullfights held here anymore due to controversial reasons.

But twice year on certain days mock bull fights take place, a great time to see some of the drama and culture without the blood.
These are on July 25th (Saint Jaume) and on August 15th (Mare de Déu d’Agost).
Many legendary bullfighters as Palomo Linares, Manuel Díaz “El Cordobés” or Dávila Miura have visited this arena.
