You can get to the Alcudia market by different ways:
- Walking: from Port de Alcudia (depending on the hotel) to the market is a 20-30 minutes walk, though it is not reccomended in Summer when we have 30-35 degrees temperature.
- By taxi or by Public bus, though they get extremely busy, specially the public bus.

Night Market in Port Alcudia
Each evening in the Port Alcudia, there is a night market. This takes place along a pedestrian area, near to the port. You will find many stalls selling souvenirs and local craft stalls. The market starts usually just before dusk and carries on for as long are there are potential customers.

What to buy in Alcudia
As well as the markets, there are many shops in Alcudia selling most things.
There are several different Mallorcan wines, all of a very high and reasonable price. Most of the wines of Mallorca are produced in or around the towns of Binissalem or Santa Maria.
Ensaimada – a typical Mallorcan pastry similar to a large croissant, sprinkled with icing sugar. These are usually sold in the many pastiserias (bakeries) around the city.
Hierbas, also known as herbes, is a local liqueur produced using fennel and other herbs and spices. The drink is usually sold in green bottles and there are 3 types – dry (Sec) medium (Mixta or mezclada) and sweet (Dulce). The drink is a very good digestive, but it also very strong. The drier the drink, the more alcoholic content of it. Hierbas tastes of aniseed, similar to Pernod or Ouzo.
